Versus "The Other Guys"

OK, so what makes Dynamic DJs so different?

What a lot of people don't realize when they book with a large "We Do It All" company (let's call them "InCOMPLETE Services" in this example) is that they are actually using a national booking agency. They do a great job of appearing "local", but in reality they are a national franchised chain with lots of marketing dollars. Their low prices are attributed to sourcing their staff from local college students with enticing offers to make $30/hr throwing parties (that's $120 for 4 hours mind you). The agency pockets the rest of your money and pumps it back into their vast ad campaign, usually not into their equipment or staff. Equipment is shared between DJs, so you'll never know exactly what you'll get or even who you'll get for that matter. Moreover, most agencies are obsessed over conversions and will hound you with multiple emails, calls, and discounts until you break down and book with them. So, imagine all that...Dynamic DJs are the complete opposite!

Questions & Answers


Can I add or subtract options?

Sure you can! These packages are merely just suggestions. Also, once you sign a contract, you can make changes until 30 days leading up to your event. Check out our full list of services here.

Do we have to meet?

It's totally up to you. Some clients feel comfortable enough to fill out the forms online, make payments, and correspond via email or phone without ever meeting us until the day of the event. Others prefer to get some questions answered first, consult on event flow and song suggestions, and hand us a deposit in person.

Can I come to one of your gigs?

Unfortunately, no! Most of the events we're hired for are private. Check out our photo gallery, video library, social media, reviews, etc to help you make your decision. We can also offer up references of recent clients too, just don't ask us to crash someone else's party!

Can I pay in full? Do you take cards?

Yes & yes. However, all that's required to save your date is a $150 deposit with your signed contract. We can accept credit card payments via PayPal, however we prefer checks due to merchant fees. We also prefer getting paid the remaining balance during or after the event (it saves you a stamp!) but if you feel more comfortable getting it taken care of, that's fine too.

What do you need for setup?

We require a 12' wide by 6' deep by 7' high area for a full lighting truss and audio setup. We also need one 20amp outlet within 50' of the area. Finally, we request to be adjacent to the dance floor, somewhat central to the room. "Nobody puts baby in the corner!"

How much time do you need for setup or teardown?

We need 2 hours of setup (3 if also providing ceremony coverage, ambient lighting, or additional add-ons) and 1 hour for teardown. Regardless, we are unlimited hours, so you'll have to worry more about the venue hall! If the venue says "Party's over at midnight", we won't kill the music at 11 either. Our setup/teardown time will never eat into your event schedule.

Do you travel out here in the sticks?

We have a fairly large coverage area, but in general, it's an hour surrounding Louisville, KY. Anything beyond 30-45 mins from downtown Louisville will include a travel fee not to exceed $100, based on gas prices and such.
